The Paradise Ranch Legacy
The ranch was purchased in 1979 by Lyman Hein (Todd’s father) as a hobby farm and hunting property. Lyman taught Todd from an early age about the power of nature by having him read all of Sigurd Olsen’s books (Sigurd established the BWCA) on the spiritual power of nature and more importantly taught Todd the honor and responsibility of land stewardship.

Todd bought the farm from his dad in 2000 and took over management, with the focus of continuing to enhance the land for wildlife and share it with like-minded people. This can’t be more clearly demonstrated and make Todd prouder than watching the transfer of this spirit from Grandfather to Grandson by exposing his son Wyatt early to the farm and watch him embrace stewardship of the ranch now as a young man.
Paradise Ranch Mission

“Paradise Ranch is a nature retreat dedicated to providing and enriched nature immersion experience through direct access to isolated nature - allowing people to participate in outdoor events and land stewardship projects.”

Paradise Ranch Management

The ranch is operated by TJH Concerns, LLC and Todd is the Farm Boss with support from a board and committee to define the management of the ranch.

The management of the ranch will focus on providing easy access to a unique experience with nature and inviting accommodations for our visitors.

Since 2020 the management of the farm operations have been supported by the family of Chad & Heidi Walters. The Walters’ have been instrumental in supporting the mission of the farm and specifically have led the construction of the lodge, planting and managing the prairie, pond construction, and general maintenance of the farm and equipment.
"The management of Paradise Ranch is very appreciative of the Walter family as they keep Todd’s ambitions realistic!"
